What you need for your vaccination day?

What to bring?

Confirmation of your vaccination appointment
Your South African Identity Document (ID), passport or driver's license
Proof of vaccine eligibility
Your EVDS vaccine code you received via SMS after you registered
Medical scheme membership card if you are a member of a medical scheme

What to wear?

You will need to roll up your sleeve as your vaccine will be administered in your non-dominant upper arm, so wear clothing that will allow for this.

Wear your mask
Sanitise your hands regulary

Bring food or drinks into the vaccination site
Bring children or anyone not yet eligible into the vaccination site

Take note

When to reschedule?

You currently have COVID-19
You are in the 10-day COVID-19 recovery period
You have been in hospital with COVID-19 in the last 28 days
You have received any other vaccination in the last 14 days

Follow the medical advice you have been given if:

You have been advised by a medical doctor not to get vaccinated
You had a severe or immediate allergic reaction (within four hours) to your first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Register on the national Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS)

South Africa's Covid-19 vaccination roll-out is a government-led process. If you intend to get vaccinated against Covid-19, you must register on the National Department of Health's Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).
